Don't be ashamed of your past failure. They're more important than glamorous parts of you. Didn't graduate from high school? Don't have good credit? Made huge business mistakes? Had a child as a teenager? Tell your authentic story because you aren't the only one who's living that life. People who feel stuck, lost, and hopeless need to see other people who pivoted from a similar circumstance. People want to be able to relate to you. It's more important to be genuine because people can smell the bullshit. Don't be afraid to be real. Accept yourself for who you, are just tell the truth. be proud of your actual life story. When you're genuine, honest, and authentic people want to be surrounded by that. Don't be scared of what you perceive people will think you are when you tell the truth. You know with the most demeaning thing that you can say to someone who has worked their ass off to get where they are? That they were "lucky". What you consider as luck is hard work meeting opportunity. Instead of saying "you're so lucky" say, "I appreciate your hustle." Or even I appreciate your passion. Or I appreciate all the hours of work, failures, and getting back up after rejection. Too many people are fixated on the fruit of the labor. And not the actual labor. Stop whittling someone's work ethic down to luck. Start congratulating on the hard work that they put in to make their dreams happen. Keep that Luck shit to yourself.
